Ticket forms were sent home today for the grade 7 farewell evening. There is a limit of four per student and the forms must be returned by May 30. A copy of the form exists here.
Here is the accompanying letter:
Here is the accompanying letter:
Dear Parents/guardians,
Greetings! As you are
aware, grade 7 students are in their final term at the middle campus of Surrey
Christian School. It won’t be long until
students are standing before their families and peers, receiving their middle school
certificate of completion. As a school
community, we look forward to this celebration!
The grade 7 farewell evening is an important event in which
we recognize God’s faithfulness to the students throughout their middle school
years. A tone of celebration and
appreciation should pervade the ceremony.
Although this is an important milestone for our students, it is not
intended that the grade 7 farewell evening match the formality and pageantry of
High School Graduation.
With this in mind, please note some of the details of the
farewell evening below.
1.
The farewell evening is set for
Thursday, June 21 at 7:00 PM in the middle school gymnasium. There is no school on Friday for the grade 7
students and they can come to school to pick up their report cards.
2.
The Thursday evening party is a
non-school function. It is being planned
by a group of parents and students. A
recent letter has been sent home with your child by the committee regarding
these events. Please read it and fill
out the adjoining forms of that letter.
3.
The Thursday farewell evening
will be a semi-formal dessert evening.
Parents and students will be sitting together at tables and sharing
dessert and the evening together.
Because of the table set up, there will be a limited number of tickets
available. We can only accommodate a
limited number of people. Tickets will
be available soon and we are currently placing a limit of four tickets
per student. If a number of families
decide not to use all their allotted tickets, there may be more than five
available to those desiring more tickets.
Attached to this sheet is a form where you are asked to indicate how
many tickets you would like for the event.
Please fill out this form and return it to the school by Wednesday, May 30.
4.
Because the event is
semi-formal, we ask that students and families dress up, but not lavishly.
5.
We hope that the above meets
with your approval. We do want to honour
the students and their presence at this campus for the last three years. We want to bless them as they leave this
campus and go on to high school.
If you have any questions, please do
not hesitate to contact Mr. Beimers or Mr. Nagtegaal.
Blessings,
Matthew Beimers- Principal
Danny Nagtegaal- Assistant Principal
